MIAMI AUTISM PODCAST: Daniela & Alex of Inclusive Social Club — Building Community for Autism Families

The Story Behind Inclusive Social Club In this episode of The Autism Podcast, I had the privilege of speaking with Daniela and Alex, parents and founders of the clothing brand — Inclusive Social Club. Their vision grew directly from lived experience as autism parents. They wanted to create a brand where families feel supported, understood, and celebrated. As a fellow autism advocate and parent, I connected deeply with their mission. Advocacy often begins at home, but it grows into something larger when parents channel their challenges into solutions for others. Turning Personal Challenges Into Shared Strength Daniela spoke openly about the isolation many families feel. She shared, “We wanted to build a brand families don’t feel judged but instead feel welcome.”  That vision shaped every part of the Inclusive Social Club. Alex added that parenting on the spectrum brings both triumphs and daily struggles. By sharing their journey, they hope to empower other families to embrace both realities with courage and pride. The Power of Community Connection The Inclusive Social Club is more than a gathering place. It is a platform for awareness, acceptance, and connection. Daniela and Alex explained how events and programs foster bonds between families, while also educating the broader community about autism. As I reflected during our conversation, advocacy is always stronger when it is collective. Efforts like Inclusive Social Club remind us that families do not have to walk this path alone. Why This Conversation Matters Our discussion highlighted a truth I see every day: communities thrive when families come together with shared purpose. Daniela and Alex have turned their experiences into a movement that uplifts others, proving that change starts locally. 📞 Let’s Connect—Because Your Family Deserves More Than Just a Roof If you’re ready to start the journey or just need advice, I’m here to help. The Wonder Women Show with Host Yolanda Carvajal & Victor Antunez: Advocacy, Family, and Autism Awareness

A Conversation About Advocacy and Family On this episode of The Wonder Women Show, host Yolanda Carvajal welcomed me, Victor Antunez, host of The Autism Podcast. Together, we explored how advocacy, family, and awareness intersect in the autism community. As both an advocate and a father to a nonverbal autistic child, I shared how my experiences shaped my work. Advocacy for me is not optional—it’s a responsibility born out of love and necessity. Why Advocacy Matters More Than Ever Yolanda emphasized the importance of storytelling in building awareness. She noted, “When families share their experiences, they remind the world that autism is not just statistics—it’s people.” That statement resonated with me. Too often, families feel invisible in systems not built for them. Advocacy helps bring those hidden struggles to light. Creating Awareness Through Community Platforms We also discussed the importance of using community platforms like The Wonder Women Show and The Autism Dad Podcast to amplify voices. These conversations help families connect with resources, feel less isolated, and find hope in shared stories. I highlighted how advocacy has practical outcomes. When awareness grows, policies shift, services expand, and families like mine gain stronger networks of support. Family at the Core of Advocacy Ultimately, both Yolanda and I agreed that family is the foundation. Advocacy begins at home—supporting loved ones, pushing for opportunities, and building systems that last. This conversation reminded me that advocacy doesn’t have to be complicated. It starts with speaking up, standing together, and refusing to accept silence. 📞 Let’s Connect—Because Your Family Deserves More Than Just a Roof If you’re ready to start the journey or just need advice, I’m here to help. MIAMI AUTISM PODCAST: Oscar Ortiz of SebastianStrong — Fighting Pediatric Cancer with Purpose and Hope

The Mission of Sebastian Strong Pediatric Cancer Foundation In this episode of The Autism Podcast, I sat down with Oscar Ortiz, founder of the Sebastian Strong Pediatric Cancer Foundation. He shared the story of his son Sebastian, whose courage inspired a movement dedicated to funding pediatric cancer research. Oscar explained that pediatric cancer is underfunded compared to adult cancers. His foundation is changing that reality by raising awareness and directing resources to the labs and researchers working on cures. Why Advocacy Makes the Difference Listening to Oscar, I couldn’t help but see parallels to my own advocacy as an autism dad. Families in both the cancer and disability communities face systemic gaps that make daily life harder than it should be. Advocacy becomes the bridge between lived experiences and meaningful change. Oscar described how parents, when united, can amplify their voices to influence research, funding, and policy. I see that same truth in autism advocacy, where collective action opens doors for services and supports. How Sebastian Strong Creates Impact Oscar highlighted the grants and partnerships that Sebastian Strong funds. These efforts accelerate pediatric cancer research, giving families real hope for the future. The foundation also creates a community of support for parents navigating a diagnosis, ensuring they never feel isolated. As an advocate, I know how critical that community piece is. Families cannot thrive in isolation. They need networks, resources, and people who understand. Carrying Forward Sebastian’s Legacy Oscar spoke with strength about carrying his son’s legacy forward through every project. Sebastian Strong is more than a foundation—it is a promise to future families that they will not face this fight alone. This conversation was a powerful reminder that whether it’s autism or cancer, advocacy fueled by love can change entire systems. 📞 Let’s Connect—Because Your Family Deserves More Than Just a Roof If you’re ready to start the journey or just need advice, I’m here to help.
