The Purpose of the Annual Disability Resource Fair
Jody explained that the Disability Resource Fair is designed to connect families with people and organizations providing education, therapy, housing, and healthcare services. It is also a chance for government departments and nonprofits to showcase how they are meeting ADA requirements.
For many families, this event is their first step in discovering programs that can transform their daily lives.

Jody highlighted Miami-Dade’s commitment to making sure county programs meet ADA standards. This includes physical accessibility and ensuring services are designed with disability needs in mind.
